Another try for the Regents today and after taking zero pictures this morning, I had a productive afternoon. Got some better images, though still not quite what I have in mind so I am going to hold off on posting them again. Tomorrow will be my last full day for the Regents and after that I will be moving on Thursday morning to the Warrumbungles National Park.
I did spend a bit of time photographing the landscape here both late morning and right before sunset today. Thought I would give the birds a break and post one of these for a change. This area is basically a valley of pastureland surrounded by the sandstone cliffs of the Blue Mountains. The Capertee River runs through the valley, though it isn't much of a river at the moment since New South Wales is having a big drought. It really is a very gorgeous setting and when the birds aren't doing much it is fantastic just to look around at the mountains.
