Another day on the road without too terribly much excitement. The drive went smoothly despite having to stop and wait while a truck was pulled back up on the road at one point. Picked up a few new birds along the way but didn't really take any photos. Eventually, I arrived at my destination in mid afternoon, Eungella National Park. This park is supposed to be a good place to see a Duck-billed Platypus as well as the only spot to see the Eungella Honeyeater. After a bit of searching, I did manage to find the honeyeater though no photos. I am going to try for the platypus in the morning and then go see if I can photograph the honeyeaters before getting on the road again. Tomorrow I should be somewhere between Townsville and Cairns and then Kingfisher Park by Sunday. I look forward to being off the road for a few days before heading up Cape York later in the week.
Today's photo is one from O'Reilley's that I had not posted yet. It is of one of the many tame Australian King Parrots, though this one was taken away from the feeding area.
