Ihad planned to photograph woodswallows this morning but it turned out that they decided to hang out in a different tree this morning. While I did get a few images, they weren't as good as I had hoped. One of the local birds that I was determined to photograph was the Chestnut-crowned Babbler (above). These birds are easy to see here as they travel in flocks and one large flock lives around the waterhole but I had not been able to photograph them. This afternoon I decided that I was going to dedicate a couple hours to trying to photograph these birds and with a bit of effort i was able to get a few images I was pleased with so that made my day.
While staying at Bowra, I have access to regular power so I spent most of midday today sitting in front of my computer trying to catch up on cataloging images and preparing an update for the gallery section of the website with images from October. I hope to have it ready to upload in a couple days when I leave here and head back east. Keep an eye out for updates!
