Bar-tailed Godwit -Harbour, The Entrance, New South Wales

Last night I ended up in a conservation area on the coast between Sydney and Newcastle and this morning I decided to explore the nearby beach. Since the beach was called Birdie Beach, I figured I might have a chance at finding some good birds. Unfortunately, there weren't many birds around but I had quite a nice walk on a completely empty beach and spent some time just sitting and watching the waves and fog.

Afterwards, I decided to go for a drive into town to get a few things done and run a few errands. I arrived at The Entrance, which I believe is a bit of a strange name for a town, and was surprised to find a sandbar in the harbour there with a lot of birds on it. After a bit of scoutingI decided that I might have a good chance at getting some photos of sandpipers and terns that afternoon.

By early afternoon, I had returned and managed to wade out to the sandbar and mudflats and had a successful hour or two photographing Red-necked Stints, Godwits, and Little Terns. I felt like it had been a while since I had really had a good bird photography session so it was great to get back into it and capture some good images. The above image is probably my favorite from this afternoon and I would love some helping identifying this bird. From my understanding, Black-tailed Godwits have a pink bill with black tip while Bar-tailed Godwits are the other way around. This bird is pretty much half and half so I would love a confirmation. Thanks for the help.

UPDATE: Consensus is that this is a Bar-tailed Godwit, notice the barring in the tail. Silly me. Thanks everyone.
