Today's highlight was the two hours I spent exploring the Cradle Mountain Wilderness Gallery, a gallery dedicated to wilderness photography. This is the only gallery I have ever been in or even heard of that is focused on nature photography. I thought Iwas in heaven. The current exhibition is a 10 room show with each room dedicated to an Australian photographer. The work was fantastic and varied. From the masters to some younger folks that were close to my age. It was both intimidating and inspiring and Icould have easily spent a lot more time in there.
Afterwards, I planned to photograph sunset once again but I cut my timing to close and didn't give myself enough time to hike into the spot I wanted to photograph from. Add to that, the fact that I forgot I hadn't reloaded all my film holders for my camera and Ireally just ran out of time. I got about half way to the spot and gave up and just sat and enjoyed a serene and quiet sunset. I will give it another try tomorrow.
