More morning showers meant a lazy morning for me and an opportunity to catch up on some work I needed to do on the computer. My only real goal for teh day was to try and photograph some Koalas but that could be done either morning or afternono. After a morning of computer work, Iheaded into town for a bite to eat before spending most of the early afternoon continuing to work on the computer. I got lots done and was quite satisfied when I headed out to photograph Koalas this afternoon.
When my girlfriend and I were in the area a few weeks ago, we saw the first and only Koalas I have seen since I have been in Australia. Since we saw several along one road I figured it would be a good spot to return to. Sure enough, I had more than a half dozen this evening in less than 10 kilometers. Unfortunately, these are tough animals to photograph since they tend to sleep most of the time and sit in places where they are obscured by branches and leaves. I took a few photos of several different animals but this particular individual was in the best situation. He was sleeping but would lift his head whenever a car drove by so I managed to get a shot showing his face. It isn't the ideal image that I have in my head, but its the best I have so far.
