Restless "Paperbark" Flycatcher - Lake Argyle, Western Australia

This morning was a bit cloudy much to my surprise so I decided to take it easy, leave the camera behind, and explore some of the artwork sites in the park. It really is amazing to see rock art that is several thousand years old yet still has a lot of meaning to a group of people. I mean you look at most western art and it may be a lot more complex than the cave paintings but it doesn't typically doesn't have the stories and meaning behind it of course with the except of most religious art. With the aboriginal art, it still is used for teaching and story telling as well as religious reasons and it is hundreds or thousands of years old. It really is quite amazing.

So most of my day was spent looking at art at a couple different sites. I did a bit of scouting for tomorrow and think I had a brief look at two new birds as they flew through the forests at high speeds but not a satisfying look soI will have to try again tomorrow. Hopefully I can get some photos tomorrow as well.
