My journey through the Kimberley region along Gibb River Road is now complete. By midafternoon today, Ihad once again reached a nicely paved road. The rest of the day was spent exploring the town of Wyndham and Parry Lagoons Nature Reserve. This reserve is home to thousands of waterbirds and while I saw a bunch this evening, Iunfortunately wasn't able to photograph any. Ithink the situation may be better in the morning so I will try sunrise. Idid get to photograph a Rainbow Bee-eater this afternoon and I was quite pleased as I haven't had very many chances to photograph this beautiful bird.
Tomorrow Iam going to see what sunrise brings at the lagoon and then spend the rest of the day in search of the elusive Gouldian Finch!
