Last night's cold front moved through and brought cooler temperatures, but not the rain I was expecting. It did lead to some rapidly moving clouds this morning with a few bits of moisture in them and some strong winds making for tough photography though. By the evening though it had cleared up for the most part but the wind hadn't dropped None the less, I headed out to see what I could find. The two birds I was after in particular was the Western Thornbill and Western Gerygone. I managed to find and photograph both which was quite pleasing. That means I have now photographed every Australian thornbill except one, the Slaty-backed Thornbill and I will hopefully get them when I get around to the Center in July. Anyway, all in all it proved a productive afternoon and hopefully the clouds have now cleared out for a few days so I can photograph tomorrow morning. |
